As Sail Maui returns to Lahaina Harbor, they are offering a free weekly Saturday Community Sail exclusively for Lahaina residents. This golden-hour sail is a simple gesture of gratitude and reconnection—a chance to be on the ocean together, enjoy the fresh air, and share meaningful time on the water as a community. Priority is given to Lahaina residents, especially those directly affected by the fire and those who may not have historically had access to experiences like this. Sail Maui appreciates the community’s patience as they work to welcome everyone aboard over time and ensure fair access for all who wish to participate. The Community Sail departs from Lahaina Harbor every Saturday from 3:30–5:30 PM, with plans to transition to a true sunset sail when possible. Guests should plan to arrive approximately 20 minutes before departure. These sails will continue weekly for as long as there is community interest and capacity. Walk-ups cannot be guaranteed without prior coordination. If demand exceeds capacity, a waitlist will be created, with efforts made to accommodate families and groups together on future sails. The goal is to eventually get everyone out on the water who would like to participate.
